EDUCATION
Reaching over 300 students, educators, early-career professionals, and community members annually, HTL! supports the community through in-school residencies, college programs, and the Queens Artist Connection. Hit The Lights! has taught at New York University (NYU), The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Elefante Music School, Orange County Community College, and CO/LAB Theater Group in NYC. They were part of the conservatory faculty at Atlantic Theater Company’s Atlantic Acting School and were company-in-residence at William’s College’s STUDIO62 summer theater program where they taught workshop intensives as guest artist faculty.
IN-SCHOOL RESIDENCIES
In these unique classes kids will engage with creative play using HTL!’s collaborative rehearsal process and aesthetic. Through movement activities, shadow play and shadow puppetry kids will explore ensemble driven creation together. These classes will help excite the imagination spontaneity, and the creator in us all.
COLLEGE PROGRAMS
Through in-school workshops, we provide students the tools to think like an artist and to dig into what it takes to be a modern theater company while using collaborative Rehearsal techniques that have come to define HTL!’s process and aesthetic. Students work with HTL! to excite the imagination, spontaneity, and the creator in us all. Curriculum is geared towards ensemble driven work.
